以前ご紹介した「majicmixrealistic_v2」ですが、とても魅力的な画像を生成してくれていて、管理人は完全に「majicmixrealistic_v2」に乗り換えたところです。そんなmajic MIXシリーズのシリアル最新作であるV4が公開されましたので旧バージョンのV2と新バージョンのV4の違いも含めて検証してみたいと思います。

「DPM++2M Karrs」と「DPM++SDE Karrs」を数枚ずつ生成し比べてみましたが違いは感じられずほぼ一緒の出来といった感じです。

もちろん、同じプロンプトにしないと比較になりませんのでモデル以外は同条件とします。

面白い結果になりました。「majicmixrealistic_v4」の方がより明暗差がはっきりと描写されることがわかりました。いわゆる逆光により顔に影がかかるという細かい演出が可能となります。もしかすると、夜のロケーションや室内を得意としているモデルなのかも知れませんね。
結論としては、V4はV2の上位互換ではない。どちらかが優位というわけではなく、ベクトルが異なるものと思われます。CanonのR5とR6の関係みたいですね。今後も、majicmixrealistic_v2を使い続けるのはもちろんのことmajicmixrealistic_v4も使いながら検証を続けたいと思います。
